MARQUENCHING & QUENCHING OIL
USES:
Heat treatment or quenching oils offer a rang of quenching speeds and operating temperatures to suit specific heat treatment requirements.
Most industrial quenching is carried out in petroleum oils that are formulated from highly refined base stocks with inherently high thermal stability.
Additives include anti-oxidants for longer bath life at elevated timperatures, rust inhibitors, wetting agents that alter surface tensions and aid cooling during the vapor phase and other accelerators to achieve specific quenching.
